Needlepoint Apple On Plastic Canvas

Plastic Canvas needlepoint apple
With Rosh HaShana in just a week, now might be a great time to take a few moments for yourself and make a little needlepoint apple on plastic canvas! The results are so very sweet, and of course you can use your little apple as a Jewish New Year’s card, as a gift tag, a fridge magnet, or as part of a little wall hanging for the holiday, which is what I’m hoping to do. As a tween I used to design my own geometric needlepoint patterns, and so whipping up this little apple was a bit of a trip down memory lane, and I would love to do more……..then again free form embroidery is really much more up my alley, as are a million other things, I’m sure you can relate!

That said it is always fun to try out new crafts on a small scale, so pull out some yarn scraps, a get yourself a very small piece of plastic canvas (as opposed to me who of course has a huge roll, sigh) and lets get started!

How To:

No instructions required here, just do note that on the top left, adn right bottom of the apple the four and three stitches (respectively) are stitched in the opposite direction to get the right look.
