Simple Hanukkah Kid’s Craft That Steals The Show!

Hanukkah Kids Drawing Craft
Here’s a fun idea for turning your kid’s drawings into cute holiday decorations, and not only does it only take a few minutes, but it sure beats putting them on the fridge! And once the holiday or occasion is over, you can simply remove the lights and store flat until next year. And before you know it you just might have a whole gallery full of fun kid’s art to pull out any time. It also just occurred to me to gently remind you as well that when we make an effort to show our kids how much we love their art, they’ll be encouraged to make more!

Okay, lets do this! Ah yes, and of course egg carton star string light covers seem like a great match with this craft, don’t you think?

Hanukkah Kids Drawing Craft With Lights

You’ll Need:

  • kid’s drawings, even done on white paper
  • cardboard, I used cereal box cardboard
  • opaque white tape, mine is bookbinding tape
  • battery operated LED string lights
  • egg carton star string light covers

How To:

  1. Cut a piece of cardboard the same size or just a tiny bit bigger than your drawing. Make a frame around the drawing with white tape, adhering half of the depth of the tape to the front and folding the rest of the tape to the back. This adheres the drawing to the cardboard, making a piece of stiff art that could be hung or stood up on a shelf.
  2. Cut small pieces of tape and tape string lights around border of art. Remainder of string can sit in front or behind, you decide.
  3. And that is it, really sweet, right?
