A DIY Teacup Pin Cushion Is Adorable And Truly Useful!

Tea Cup Pin Cushion DIY

When a neighbor's child showed up at my door just before Passover with all of the things they didn't want, but thought I might, this little tea cup was tucked in there, and I immediately thought, ah yes, pin cushion or candle? And now you know the answer: tea cup pincushion! It really is just as cute as can be, and useful to boot! You can glue the cup to the plate, or better yet, don', as the plate becomes a useful catchall when you are in the middle of a sewing project. Want to make one? It is really so very simple, love that!

You'll Need:

  • a tea cup and saucer
  • some filling
  • a small square of fabric that you love

How To:

Lay your square on the table and put some filling in the middle. Bring up the corners to the middle and holding with your fingers check to make sure you have made the right size. Stuff a bit more stuffing in there so it will be as tight as possible. Now use a rubber band or some string to hold the fabric in place. Place in teacup, and glue if desired (or if it is a gift) though I'd leave it as is so you can change the fabric on a whim. Enjoy! Tea time anyone?
