Crocheted Lacy Toddler Sweater Works Up Quickly

Crocheted lacy toddler sweater

Crocheting for little ones is a great way to satisfy that need to crochet something without going overboard time -wise or yarn wise! And when you make something like this crocheted lacy toddler sweater the size doesn't have to be exact, as a garment like this can be worn several ways, namely on the small side as a bolero, or on the larger side as a sweater. And so, that my friends is how the double crochet placket, neckline and border were born! And really, as long as you have some finished measurements to go by, you really can play around and invent your own sweaters, be brave!

I know I know, your life would be that much easier if I just gave you a pattern, only I don't have one, and the one I used for the lacy stitches is no where to be found. When I get home from my summer vacation I'll look on my computer, as I do recall I downloaded a pattern possibly from Ravelry.

In the mean time, just get some measurements for a garment, as I described in my previous post here and decide to be brave, a little experimenting is la great way to learn!

Find a bolero or lacy cardigan sweater you like, and start crocheting. In my case I added the double crochet to the neck, placket and bottom of sweater, and you see, it looks great!
