Fun With Dominos, Spell Your Name!

Sometimes a box filled with colorful dominos is just irresistable, (which is likely why I bought them in the first place!) and so as my son sat on the floor yesterday listening to a story CD, he first set up the dominos in a traditional manner and invited the whole family to witness the crash, and then came up with this lovely set up. If you don’t read hebrew you wouldn’t likely realize that he has spelled his name here, and I love what he did with the last letter, a true work of art! I was just thinking that if I took out the background on the photo this could be a great poster for his room, right?

Oh and just by the way, the holiday of Succot includes intermediary days which are holidays and yet one can drive and cook and so on…….these days are still marked by festive meals, wearing nice clothes and not overdoing it with the cleaning, even avoiding laundry unless absolutely necessary. During other holidays like Passover that are also a week long, we do try to take family day trips, but for the Succot holiday we really try to just stay as close to our succah as possible, and this year we really succeeded in doing just that! Succot is about unity and the best way to work on that is by starting at home!
