Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to craft schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! The very festive and very crafty Jewish holiday of Purim is on Wednesday night/Thursday (and on Thursday night/Friday in Jerusalem) which means the coming week will be very busy indeed. I am in the middle of finishing up a Queen Esther costume and a mitzvah dragon costume, needed for the school costume day on Monday or Tuesday, and hope to share that with you, and then it is time to think about the mischloach manot, the gifts of food for neighbors and those we want to honor….In previous years I always used a recycled container, but now I’m more concerned with giving something that will add to the recipient’s holiday in some way, or at the very least make them smile. For the neighbors I often give a small healthy meal, as the morning of Purim tends to be a bit hectic and everyone forgets to eat something before getting into all the junk floating around. Since everything is still undecided I”ll just go with the flow. And if the husband actually goes to a lemon tree or ours across town full of organic lemons waiting to be picked, then I may just make quick pickled Moroccan lemons for everyone and do a lemon themed package. So many options and it all just depends on how much time there is, as I also have to prepare a feast for Thursday…….so now lets just take a breather and enjoy the features from last week’s party:
Another great project using upcycled jeans, round fabric placemats, from pillar box blue.
A sweet embroidered USA map pendant from flamingo toes.

While you’re featuring a lot of really great projects, as a former Link Party Host myself I find it unusual that you’ve added your blog name and website address on someone else’s image. Modifying an image that doesn’t belong to you borders on copyright infringement. Especially since you don’t state this could happen in your Party Rules if someone is featured after linking up.
A growing and courteous trend among bloggers is to add “no pin” code to the images from other bloggers, and encourage readers to go to the blogger’s website if they want to pin. I think it’s fine to have a collage that can be pinned from your website, but adding your website address to someone else’s image is a big no no.

Hi Toni, thanks so much for letting me know this could be a problem, I honestly was putting the bloggers name and mine on the photo so that their work wouldn’t be out there in blog land with no owner, which happens alllllll the time. I certainly would not want to infringe on anyone’s copyright, as people do it to me all the time, namely by lifting content for entire posts and there is really very little one can do about it, and it is infuriating.
Thanks again, I just saw your comment and have now erased all bylines on the photos for this week’s features.
