Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! I am now more grateful than ever for this virtual get together and hoping that everyone is well. These are scary and uncertain times, and the perfect opportunity to work on things that were previously not possible. So much is totally out of our hands, so rather than worry, learn something new, delve into a creative activity that you’ve been wanting to try, do acts of kindness, and most importantly work on strengthening family bonds that may need some attention.
Here in Israel what seemed like drastic acts on the part of the government early on are hopefully saving us from a stress on the healthcare system. I am so grateful to be living in a country that values life! Everyone is laying low, and in our town of 35,000 things are very quiet. There are 11 cases of corona virus, and hoping that with the new sanctions these numbers will not increase drastically. With the holiday of Passover in just 2 1/2 weeks we have more than enough to keep ourselves busy with our yearly spring cleaning and final preparation of the kitchen. The weather has been uncharacteristically wet and cold, with more rain than even seen recently. I am looking forward to some family trips into nature locally once it warms up, and the yearly bloom of gorgeous wild flowers. In the mean time, we are staying positive and realizing that the world is shifting, with something entirely new on the horizon! Here’s to world peace and good health for all.
Not everyone realizes the importance of craftng and creativity, but we surely do, right? Don’t forget that just by creating something new you can do your part to bring about change, so lets take a look at those features from last week’s party:
A truly gorgeous knit sweater from kiku corner is enough to inspire anyone to knit, isn’t it?
A lovely 3D crocheted rose free pattern from Anabelia is a perfect little project to whip up, and would be a great gift topper!
Love this round granny pillo in the making from Anne Marie, and these fun crocheted bunnies with a granny circle tummy from frau tschi tschi.
Lovely crocheted flower earings reinforced with a hoop from eye love knots.
A cozy crocheted hat and cowl set from eye love knots. How about crocheting some sets now and saving them for winter gift giving?
A fun striped crochet blanket from Chris in de Haak , love the multicolored tassels, brilliant! and a traditional granny square pillow from Chris in de Haak as well.
A really sweet birthday train made with upcycled children’s wooden blocks is what memories are made of, from idi min.
Speaking of upcycling, check out this amazing steam punk art by unique creations by Anita, with tons of tips for making the supplies yourself!
Some lovely little illustrations from paper seedlings, and a nice beachy sign from my slice of life.
A sweet hippo embroidery from handmade by Amalia, and upcycled candle holders look like driftwood from chaz crazy creations.
That is it for the features, what have you been up to?

My pleasure, now might be a great time to teach yourself to crochet, just find some tutorials on You Tube, and with patience you can surely do it! The most important thing is how you hold the yarn in your left hand (if you are right handed)
for efficiency. Crocheting is so amazing and I love crocheting with recycled sheets to make rugs, perfect as you are cleaning out the closet and dont know what to do with old sheets!
