Blog Party: Craft Schooling Sunday

Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday

CSS Sunday collageWHOOPS, for all those who came on Saturday night, sorry I neglected to past the code for the party. such is life in these crazy times…….

Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! What can I say? At the moment I am grateful for my own health and that of all my family in these scary Corona virus times. I am grateful for the home that is large enough to give everyone their space, the large porch with a stunning mountain view, and the fact that we live in a somewhat remote town (still 35,000 people) that has up until now been largely spared from the ravages of the Corona virus. While we are very busy getting the house ready for Passover, and basically occupied with that, there is still an air of sadness and uncertainty filling the air, rather than the usual happy bustling that takes place just before the holiday. Since it is just the smallest version of our immediate family at home for the holiday there is much less pressure cooking-wise but not giving up on the excuse to really deep clean the house, especially since we were not home the past two Passovers! (Last year we did clean the house, but 1 week before Passover we were invited to come to Jerusalem’s Old City for the holiday, in order to host the owner of the vacation rental we inhabited together with his kids. It was amazing!)

During the week of Passover there is no crafting but once the holiday is over I can’t wait to use my hopefully very organized studio to start painting and art journaling just for starters. And since the kids will certainly still be home, I’m hoping they’ll join me as well. In the mean time, here is some wonderful inspiration from last week’s party, and now is a great time to learn to crochet, or knit, if you haven’t already!

Thank you, Sara, for featuring my twine carrots. Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday. I think all of us will feel something is missing on Easter when we can’t gather with others to celebrate but it will be worth it if it saves lives!

Yes, it’s so nice to have a peaceful view during isolation mode! We don’t have your mountains, but we get to enjoy living in our wooded yard where we can listen to the birds sing and watch the squirrels play and steal birdseed. This week, I’m sharing my amusing Easter printable. Thanks for hosting!
