Super Simple Fall Centerpiece With Painted Faux Apples

Painted-pink-blue-apples-centerpiece-fallIf you happen to have a bunch of blank apples made for crafting, just waiting for their turn in the spotlight, as I did, paint them in your favorite colors, add some white details with a paint pen, place them in a footed glass bowl, and voila, a fun Fall, Rosh HaShana, Succot, or even Tu B’Shevat centerpiece is born! Ah yes, and this would make a fun teacher appreciation gift as well! Truthfully apples painted in your favorite colors can be used any time to bring joy into your home, so while I did make this for our series of Jewish holidays in the Fall, it would look great any time. And in case you may have noticed, the more the better! Want to make something like this for your table? Lets take a close look…….

Painted-pink-blue-apples-centerpiece-fallYou’ll Need:

  • blank apples for crafting, a few sizes is nice, but not mandatory, mine are styrofoam which is not eco friendly, so try to get paper mache ones, or upcycle some you happen to have!
  • acrylic craft paint
  • a white paint pen and/or white paint and a Q-tip

Painted-pink-blue-apples-centerpiece-fallThe bright colors look amazing with anything gold, and I am currently collecting gold leaf and cactus doodads, as they work wonderfully with my crafty centerpieces! I wish I had another gold cactus like this one, but apparently they were a hit as there are no more to be seen.
Painted-pink-blue-apples-centerpiece-fallThere is something about anything footed that just looks amazing as a centerpiece or as a serving dish. In this case two footed glass bowls, one smaller the the other look contemporary and add an elegant touch to my festive crafted apples!

The other great thing about this project is that it is so simple to pack up until next year!

All the patterns and colors on these apples are just perfect! It looks great paired with the gold. What a fun Fall idea. I pinned for inspiration – maybe for next year. I always think of Apples when September is here.
