Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! With more rain and cooler temps here in Northern Israel, things are finally starting to feel like Fall, phew! The rain means blankets of green shoots covering the fields, which is so lovely, and this week I was really surprised to see some new growth in the meadow where I try to take walks a few plus times a week. Chanukah is on the horizon and this year is all about artful gift wrap, recycling crafts and lots of stars to bring light and joy. I am continuing my personal journey with paint and brush and sketchbook, and it feels so good! I look back at some of my simple crafts and wonder why I didn’t think to add a little sketch here or there! Such is the creative journey and looking back and realizing that your aesthetics have changed a bit is a great thing, as progress or at least a shift means the creative gears aren’t just turning to churn out more of the same, but rather bringing on something new altogether! Speaking of something new, why not challenge yourself with something you’ve never done, like crocheting or sewing or knitting to bring some warmth into the approaching winter! Lets get inspired by the features from last week’s party, shall we?
A lovely cotton crocheted waves blanket and a pillow that uses up the leftovers, from Anne Maria haak blog.
A gorgeous knit shawl in fall colors from lilia craft party is a work of art!
Give entrelac knitting a try with this great looking ear muff (is that a thing?) headband from kiku corner.
Wow a gorgeous crocheted doily wall art that was completed in a week, from howling at the moon.
Adorable crocheted thanksgiving dinner from craft attic resources, and a crocheted slice of cherry pie also from craft attic resources.
A gorgeous and quick to crochet window panes stitch chunky afghan from eye love knots.
A fun heart stitch crocheted blanket as part of a crochet-along, from frau tschi tschi.
A simple crocheted triangular scarf from frau tschi tschi, and a simple double stitch crochet scarf from eye love knots.
A super simple DIY Fall centerpiece idea from it all started with paint, who shares her Fall living room look.
A truly amazing DIY steam punk camera made from cardboard by unique creations by Anita, wow!
A fabulous series of daily drawings by paper seedlings, using copic markers, gotta look into that, these are amazing, I thought they were painted!
A great recycled cans desk caddy from chaz crazy creations, and fun toilet paper roll turkeys that could also be peacocks (for those of us who don’t celebrate thanksgiving) , from drug store divas.
A gorgeous DIY beaded bolo tie style rope necklace from my bijou life, and great looking DIY mason jar soap dispensers from chaz crazy creations.
And last of all, a photo that in itself is art, from it all started with paint, and might just get you to make your own cranberry jelly! There is not a fresh cranberry in sight here in Israel, so I’ll let you guys go to town. And while you are at it, make some for the whole neighborhood and leave little gifts on everyones doorstep!
That is it for the features, what have you been up to?
