Pomegranates Ripening In Northern Israel
Yesterday evening when I was walking to my vegetable carving class, just a ten or so minute walk from my house, I suddenly came upon a few huge rambilng pomegranate trees full of not quite full size fruit, but getting there. Such an amazing sight that I had to stop and take a few photos to share with you! It is truly special to witness up close and in person the cycle of the fruit baring trees and vines that grow in our neighborhood, like pomegranates, grapes, olives, and of course almonds!
Look at this little guy, a pomegranate tree with just one lone fruit, quite special really! Hope you enjoyed this slice of life, now I'm on a mission to find some great grape vines to photograph as there are tiny green grapes everywhere!

Beautiful!
Wondering if my little pomegrante will ever survive our wet, clayey soil 🙁
(Take 2 this winter, after pulling the seemingly dead young plant out, forgetting it in the backyard, roots all exposed, and suddenly it came to life again!)

Right, I have to say I was quite shocked to see them this big myself, since Rosh HaShana is a whole 2 months away. I saw another tree down the block that was still flowering, so go figure. all the best!
