Modern Architecture In Toronto
If you are a fan of modern architecture, as I am, you will surely enjoy taking a look around Toronto, as there are many examples of daring and not so daring modern architecture that will surely delight! The photo above is the architect Dahiel Libeskind's extension of the Royal Ontario Museum called the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, completed in 2007. This project was so controversial tha tit was built such that the new extension could be disassembled if need be, namely it does not touch the old building in any destructive way.
I'm not sure what this building is, but it is surely interesting!
Thsi modern apartment building is actually the buildling that we stayed in!
The skyline view from Lake Ontario…..with many new additions.
My favorite of all is this classic modern building, the city hall designed by the Finnish architect Viljo Revell and completed in 1965.
I also do like this building designed by Daniel Libeskind, thogh apparently they have yet to igure out how to clean the windows on that curved portion!
Another interesting apartment building complex in the entertainment district.
And yet another new apartment complex, this one next to the Red Path sugar factory and right on the lake.
That is it for my little gallery of modern architecture in Toronto, hope you enjoyed it!
