Welcome Back To Craft Schooling Sunday
Welcome back to Craft Schooling Sunday! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and 2017 is off to a great start! I'll be honest, I'm having a bit of a hard time finishing some of the projects I started in December, and hoping that getting this party back on track will be a wonderful source of inspiration as always. Of course the next holiday on the Jewish calendar, Tu B'Shevat, the New Year for the trees will certainly get me moving any day now, so not to worry and the cold winter weather we've been having is also steering me in the direction of some…

Fruit Themed Party Favor Boxes Download Is Just Too Cute!
Remember my printable fruit themed favor or cupcake boxes that are perfect for Tu B'Shevat crafting? I have reduced the price to give you just a bit more incentive to purchase this wonderful pdf file that can be used in so many ways year round. Honestly these boxes look so great I enjoy looking at them stacked up casually, and I don't think I could part with any at the moment! Crafting with oranges can only produce great things, whether it be wonderful smells as in the case of orange clove pomanders, orange tea lights…

Lacto-Fermented Pickled Vegetables Are Healthy And Delicious!
Fermented foods like pickled vegetables, sourdough bread, kombucha tea, kefir and yogurt, to name a few, are all great ways to eat healthy pro-biotic foods in order to colonize your gut with good things. One of the interesting and really important things that I learned towards the end of 2016 is what a major role intestinal health plays in our overall health, and how oblivious traditional medicine is to this idea. If you or your loved ones are unfortunately dealing with health issues I highly highly recommend looking into the field of Functional Medicine that addresses the role that food plays regarding illness. That said, it turns out that my…

Black And White Flower Or Spider Web Icing Trick
Making baked works of art can really be quite simple if you know a few little tricks, right? Courtesy of my 14 year old daughter who I have now appointed as chief family baker, I bring to you a little tutorial for how to make black and white icing flowers or cob webs! While she made black and white flowers on mini doughnuts, one can certainly use this trick on cookies, cupcakes and even cakes…….the results will be truly gorgeous, promise! And doing this on a cake would be so less time consuming than many other types of decorations, so give it a try, I'm going to encourage my daughter…
