Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! Tuesday night is the very festive holiday of Purim, and I fortunately was able to take the decorations I made for our women’s party and use them at home, yippee! That means a bit less pressure, or more time to whip up delicious food for hosting those 25 people? Of course that is just the number of folks we’ve invited, there will be many more dropping by all afternoon. For Purim we also give gifts of food, and I’ll be repeating last year’s effort with a nice selection of Morocannish salads, which everyone enjoyed. Of course I need to put together about 20 of these packages, so that takes time as well. Fortunately I’ve already made huge quantities of pickled lemon, and roasted red peppers, and the eggplant is roasted as well. These things keep well in the freezer, and while my oven is not working I currently have a huge tray of beets roasting in my neighbor’s oven, to make beet chummous, yum. That together with some olives, a mix of pickled veggies or maybe eggplant cubes and some couscous rounds out the selection. Now I need to come up with a cute gift tag, maybe I’ll take my own advice and make some fish? With no time to craft myself (other than those tags) at the moment, I am really enjoying the features from last week’s party, so lets take a look:
Pillar box blue made flower pom poms inspired by that beloved Marimekko pattern, amazing!
Love this sweet money card from elsar blog, I’d put it in a nice box, or make a few.
Adorable stuffed daschund doggie from handmade by amalia and gorgeous book page poetry and art from sum of their stories.
Another daschund, this one crocheted and cute as can be, from Anne Marie, and a wonderfully unique crocheted owl from frau tschi tschi.
Crocheted larksfoot project in project from bijou beads, and a gorgeous lacy knit scarf from sum of their stories.
Crocheted flower earrings on a hoop from eye love knots, and a spring wreath, also crocheted, from eye love knots.
A gorgeous inlaid wood pieces headboard inspired by a quilt, is truly jaw dropping, from unique creations by anita.
For those less inclined to make a really complicated inlaid headboard, a geometric paint job (with dresser to match) can also be great, from unique creations by anita
A sweet spring pillow DIY from handmade weekly, and a refurbished and mandalla stencilled table from unique creations by anita.
Lovely scrappy birthday card from paper seedlings, and a marbled paper card whose colors are totally inspiring me right now, from slices of life.
That is it for the features, what have you been up to?

Thanks Pamela, you are so sweet! I am never really sure if anyone is reading that, but knowing that you are I will try to keep it interesting! Crazy times with the Corona,
but our government is really doing its best. (Not to mention that an oral vaccine developed at a lab near me will hopefully be ready in 90 days) A person who voted last week in my town has corona, and now all those who were there between certain hours were contacted need to self isolate! Fortunately not our voting station. Many thousands of kids studying in Israel from abroad (mostly US) go home for the Passover break, and now it looks like that wont happen meaning we will have to think about whether it is safe to host
visitors from another part of the country in our home, yikes! All the best to you and yours!

My pleasure Julie, the invited guest count is now 32 (with us) though many are kids who will not be eating much…..then there are all those who will drop by!
