Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, and thanks so much for joining me here! This week is a special week as it contains the lovely holiday of Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish New Year for the trees! Some of the almond trees around town are already showing gorgeous blooms while the rest of the flora lays dormant and sleeping, Just hoping that all the wonderful rain we are having won’t keep those trees from showing all their glory, and me from photographing them and sharing them here to honor the holiday! Update: It is snowing here in Northern Israel, huge flakes and enough to get all the kids screaming, but not cold enough to actually stick sadly enough for the kids, though happily enough for my container garden. I have moved all the small succulent pots under a roof or indoors, and would even move larger pots but the forecast shows the weather warming up. Such is the life of a container gardener in a tropical region with snow now and again!
Stay tuned this week for some Tu B’Shevat related crafts and in the mean time enjoy the wonderful features from last week’s party, thanks to all of you who contributed! Enjoy!
The most adorable free printable poster ever from lolly jane, and as I was eyeing those succulents I realized they are faux, the cactus being the give away, so now I’m just a bit less jealous, nonetheless superior photo styling here!
This fantastic shrinky dink light garland from pillar box blue had me checking all my take-out containers to see if I could find some that were #6 and would work like shrinky dinks, sadly couldn’t find any, so gotta add that to the list of art supplies to get in the good old USA.
Super simple and lovely heart shaped faux flower wreath from dazzle while frazzled, and adorable stuffed LOVE letters from life sew savory.
Love love love these embroidery hoop spheres from lolly jane. So simple and great looking for those of you (unlike me) who have access to all those inexpensive hoops everywhere.
Sugar scrub heart shaped bars from happy mothering, and a fun palette art from life sew savory.
Fabulous quilt top from flamingo toes, with a free pattern.
DIY kid’s shelves for a niche from rain on a tin roof, and a fun way to craft together (cow paintings!) from the scrap shoppe blog.
A sweet amigurumi crocheted dog with free pattern from frau tschi tschi.
A mini LOVE quilt from flamingo toes is a great way to hone quilting skills.
Get knitting with inspiration from simply summer street, coffee cozies, and a sweet scarf for the school bus driver!
DIY soap with embedded kid’s prizes, in this case a girly ring is such a great way to get kids scrubbing, from happy mothering.
And last but not least, a fantastic unicorn pinata that is sure to please and really not that difficult to make as it is square….no paper mache needed, from howling at the moon. That is it for the features, what have you been up to?
