Notes To Self Passover 2019 To Refer To Next Year……
All of my Passover pots and pans and kitchen items are now safely tucked away in their special large cabinet, and our kitchen is once again ready to receive leavened food items, though we are not in any big hurry as we happen to love matza, and still have quite a bit left to enjoy. That said, before Passover becomes a distant memory I thought I'd jot down some notes and advice to myself to refer to in years to come, and while this may or may not be relevant to you, at the least it might inspire you to do the same, whether for Passover or anytime you've completed…

Wishing You A Wonderful Passover!
At sundown on Friday night we will not only welcome the holy shabbos, we’ll also welcome the amazing holiday of Passover! This year we will all be celebrating for eight days, as the last day of Passover in Israel is back to back with shabbat, so we will just keep eating matzo, as though it is still Passover. I’m always sad to see the holiday end after so much hard work, so I’ll happily take another day! This year we found ourselves without any guests, which is so unusual and then we were invited rather last minute to stay in a vacation apartment in the Old City of Jerusalem for…

Is Early Retirement A Feasible Dream For Parents Today?
This is a sponsored post. Is Early Retirement A Feasible Dream For Parents Today? Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. This common quote by Benjamin Franklin is used in many contexts from succeeding in your academic life to keeping your finances as a family in check and it often rings true. For many families in Israel and in fact, around the world, the juggling act of keeping their family afloat financially is a full-time act and revolves around staying up to date with bills and keeping abreast with rising costs of living including costs of raising children. Although the country is viewed as a very promising place to raise…

Take Control Of Your Family’s Finances
This is a sponsored post. Adopting An Organized Approach To Your Family’s Household Budget Did you know that 35% of married Israeli couples aged between 25 and 60 are splurging more cash then they earn, according to research from Kyrill Shraberman? Similarly, 39% of unmarried individuals in the same age bracket are spending more than their monthly earnings. If you and/or your family have a mindset that leads to spending your cash on designer clothing, fine meals in upscale restaurants and even exploring the stunning sites of the world, it can leave a dent in your finances. It’s, therefore, crucial to adopt an organizational mindset to stay on top of…

Craft Schooling Sunday Is On Vacation!
Thanks so much for dropping by. Craft Schooling Sunday is now taking its customary vacation for the month of December. As it turns out most of the crafts that are shared during this month aren't things I can feature on a Jewish blog, so I realized years ago the best thing to do is simply take a break. So dear contributors, thanks so much for sharing on this little linky party in 2018, and looking forward to reconnecting in 2019, on January 5th/6th. Wishing you all a very light filled Chanukah, filled with joy and family time. Ah yes, and some creativity in there too, right? Gotta run, I'm trying…

A Meaningful Gift For A New Baby
This is a sponsored post published in order to do my small part to help Yad Sarah, an amazing Israeli Non-profit organization. Have you ever heard of Yad Sarah? I can say that I certainly have, and have even been on the receiving end of their amazing organization. The little newborn bassinet on wheels was borrowed from Yad Sarah several times, and we have also borrowed crutches, and even canes from Yad Sarah over the years for various injuries in the family. These are just small examples of the things this amazing organization does, as Yad Sarah is in fact Israel’s leading volunteer-staffed organization, providing a vital array of compassionate…
