Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Thanks so much for joining me here on Craft Schooling Sunday! We have been having some real winter weather at last, with lots of rain and temperatures low enough at night for me to bring in a few succulents, one night that is! The next Jewish holiday, coming up this Wednesday night, is the wonderful holiday of Tu B’Shevat, which is the new year for the fruit bearing trees. Here in Northern Israel, our lovely old almond trees bloom right around the holiday, and due to the warmer than usual weather I saw one already in bloom last week. Tu B’shevat even has a “seder” with 4 cups of wine…

Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! We finally got a good dose of rain and winter weather, better late than never, and are now in the Jewish month of Shevat, which includes the wonderful holiday of Tu B’Shevat, the new year for the fruit baring trees! Just as soon as I finish this post I’m going to dive into some fun and hopefully quickish paintings of trees in bloom, which I’ll use as decorations for the holiday. Of course any number of crafty things could happen between now and Jan. 27th, so stay tuned for that, as hearts crafts meet fruit crafts! Last week’s…

Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! Great to reconnect with all of my regulars and meeting a few newcomers as well! I spent this past week crocheting clothes and accessories for a 17″ doll that I’m gifting to a little loved one for her birthday, and while it did mean that there was no time for painting, I did enjoy the crocheting and can see lots of crocheted doll clothes in my future. I will be sharing the results soon, so stay tuned for that, as…

Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! With Chanukah starting this Thursday night I have many loose ends to tie up, as well as some birthday decorations to make, big time. And with my teen daughter now away at school, the baking has falen back in my plate, and so a birthday cake has to fit into the plans as well. Of course the cake topper will be my usual flags or maybe some big numbers, (or origami 3D stars) depending on how the other decorations fly! I also have to make some wall hangings from all the chanukah origami I whipped up last week,…

Welcome To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! Winter is here in Northern Israel, with lots of wonderful rain for which we are always grateful, especially after a period of draught, that was concerning, but now, let it rain! The wonderful 8 night holiday of Chanukah starts on December 10, which means it is in less than two weeks, so time to get crafting! Funny enough a family friend just gifted me a whole trunk full of antique brass items he’d picked up over the years, and some of them are Turkish coffee pots, very decorative and interesting, and at the same time perfect for Chanukah.…
