Crocheted Potato Sack Scrubby With T-Shirt Yarn
I love using those mesh potato sacks to make kitchen and bath scrubbies, and since I have some very thin t-shirt yarn on hand, I decided to give it a try. I usually use mercerized cotton for this project, but I love the chunkier edge that one gets with t-shirt yarn. And just saying, one could use homemade t-shirt yarn, or commercial t-shirt yarn, whichever you have on hand! A Visit To Allan Gardens In Toronto
On our visit to Toronto last month one of the things that caught my eye as I was researching sites to visit was the Victorian era conservatory Allan Gardens. We got lost trying to find it, but once we did it I was truly happy that we made the effort to visit this very special spot a bit off the beaten track. And to my great surprise, my kids actually enjoyed the visit as well! Crocheted Bath Scrubbie Using Potato Sacks
Crocheting scrubbies using upcycled potato sacks is one of my favorite ways to go green. It is a great way to use up odds and ends of yarn, and to make something useful out of something you'd ordinarily throw in the garbage. I started out crocheting very simple kitchen scrubbies, and then i realized that this idea could certainly be used to make scrubbies for the bath and shower as well. And why not use this project to try out some simple trim patterns as well? So I now introduce to you the crocheted bath scrubbie with picot trim, give it a try!
