Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, so great to meet up with you all here! Last week's party was full of great projects as always, There isn't a whole lot of Fall happening around here in Northern Israel, and certainly no American style pumpkins, but once the Jewish holidays start in two weeks, we'll be filling our homes with apple and pomegranate themed everything! Don’t Give Up On Your Orchid!

    September 16, 2016 /

This post is for all of you out there that have possibly thought of simply throwing your not so great looking orchid in the garbage, or at least in the organic recyclables bin. Take a deep breath, realize that just like us, orchids go through phases and may not always be looking their best. With just a little patience, your orchid, given the right care, can certainly grow new leaves and flower again! When the blooms have faded and the plant is not in all its glory, do put in an interesting container, and then follow some of my simple advice, ready?

A Visit To Allan Gardens In Toronto

    September 16, 2016 /

And to my great surprise, my kids actually enjoyed the visit as well! Many of the plants that we saw growing in the conservatory can actually be found in our own container garden here in Israel, so that was fun for my kids and I think made the…

Thank You Signs From The Heart And Teaching Kids To Give Thanks

    September 13, 2016 /

In today's world where modernization has brought with it a feeling of entitlement, we have to work extra hard to teach our children (and ourselves) how to be considerate, caring and grateful! In the Jewish tradition we give thanks the minute we open our eyes each morning, but that doesn't mean we know how to express thanks to those in their lives! "One can never say thank you enough", is my motto, and while this comes easily to some, I…

    Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday!

    September 10, 2016 /

Welcome back to Craft Schooling Sunday! After a month long hiatus, the party is back and just as strong and inspiring as ever! I'm just wishing for some extra time to try out some of the fantastic ideas that our wonderful contributors shared last week. I had always thought that I would get into power tools with my son who is about to turn thirteen, but his schedule is so buy I don't know where we'd even…
