Golden Fig Leaf Garland
Golden fig leaf garlands, or golden leaf garlands of any kind of leaf are simple to whip up and look amazing. I choose to use fig and olive leaves for this garland to represent 2 of the 7 holy species, but you can of course do what works for you! Golden monstera leaves would look amazing as home decor, or party decor or in a child’s room, right? But right now, of course we need to think about the succah and this is a relatively quick craft with great results, so get some heavy weight gold paper, or light weight gold cardboard, or some cereal box cardboard that you’ll paint,…

DIY Cardboard Playhouse With An Upcycled Box!
Looking for a fun project to keep the little ones busy this summer? Collect some huge appliance or furniture boxes, collapse them and set aside for that window of time when a great project is just what is needed to keep the little ones excited and engaged! Who doesn’t love a playhouse, especially one you can decorate yourself, and in fact spend days decorating, best of all! While the example here is shown in a closet, this idea can also be done in a wide doorway, or even in a corner, just make sure the keep safety and adult accessibility in mind! One can even make this freestanding by attaching…

Quick Mount Sinai Kid’s Craft For Shavuos
I am busy working on my art, specifically a #make100oilpastels journey with 43 more to go, so the crafting for Shavuos may or may not happen…..in any case I still have all the wonderful cereal box cardboard vases filled with flowers from Passover. Of course I will likely at the last minute cut up a bunch of painted leaves to hang from the chandelier or decorate the table, but that won’t happen until just before the holiday. With no little kids underfoot the need to build excitement for the holiday isn’t exactly necessary so, that said, I’ve dusted this sweet project off to share once again, get to it! Shavuos…

Paint An Old Shoe With Graffiti Hearts!
This has to be one of my crazier ideas, but I just couldn’t resist and it was relatively quick, so here’s to whimsical upcycled art! And while this might seem like it is coming out of left field, just a bit, this could also be a craft for Lag B’Omer, you know just in case you’ve already made more bonfires, caves, and arrows than you can bear. Because my friends, Rebbi Shimon, whom we celebrate on Lag B’Omer was all about ahavas yisrael, Jewish unity! And what more fitting than a bunch of hearts that together comprise a wonderful lively piece of well, funky decor? And honestly, who couldn’t use…
