Ceramic Flowers In Relief Wall Plaque
As I mentioned yesterday, I spent a good nine months going to a ceramics studio weekly with my son, and there are so many projects now in our home that i just have not had the time to share them all with you! And honestly quite a few are packed up in a box, so they won’t be seen by the world just yet…….This dimensional floral ceramic plaque however sits on the modern sideboard next to my dining room table, and while no one has actually asked about it, I really do enjoy looking at it. While I don’t really have time to delve into ceramics further, and painting…

Whimsical Ceramic Vase With Face
We are in the middle of celebrating Passover, and I am taking a break from the computer, but have a few projects that I finally got around to photographing, though quickly. A spent about 9 months or so going to a ceramics studio with my son every week, which was so wonderful, and now we have ceramic creations everywhere……I really do need a huge studio of some sort with a huge specimen cabinet to display them all! Though possibly not this vase, which I’m quite happy with, as it adds a whimsical touch to my house, and is currently even on the side board in my dining room, filled with…

Ceramic Kid’s Craft: A Red Poppy Ring Dish
Spring is here, and the fields of Israel are covered with wild flowers, a truly lovely sight, In Northern Israel, the red poppies are an indigenous species that we look forward to seeing every year, and this year we were inspired by our love of this special flower to recreate it in the ceramics studio. With my guidance (I have to admit) my son made this sweet red poppy ring dish, that I think we will use on our passover table this year to hold salt.I only wish we had made a bunch of them so that the table would look like a field of wild flowers! Ah, yes, that…

Clay Dreidels Hanukkah Craft
These clay dreidel ornaments are a fun Hanukkah craft for all ages, and with Hanukkah just a week away, there is still time for all kinds of crafting, and of course making things from air drying clay could be great right about now. Or use this as inspiration to make some Hanukkah ornaments from baker's clay, almost forgot about that one! I made these with some left over clay that I had rolled out and used to make some other projects, and I just love their rustic simplicity! Not sure just yet how or where I'll display them but I'm thinking they might be perfect together with the clay bunting…

DIY Ceramic Hanging Planter With A Herringbone Pattern
This herringbone pattern hanging planter is one of the things that i've made and just haven't had the time to share it with you……until today. I made this a good six months ago, but didn't actually hang it until a about a month ago, and I have to say, I'm actually really pleased wtih the results and how nicely it fits with the modern Moroccan scheme I've got going in the living room. My ceramics teacher wanted me to go bold and bright, but while I would have loved the outcome possibly, it never would have worked in my gold, black, and white (plus creme as well) scheme. Actually it…

Ceramic Tiny Planter From Leftovers!
isn't this little ceramic planter just the cutest? And the perfect size to hold this bird's nest sanseviera baby and a few of the tiniest little succulent offspring as well! This project ia what results when you have some left over rolled out clay and a bit of time left at your weekly ceramics studio, and I have to say I think I'll have to make a bunch of these to give as gifts, right? So now you know, creativing with clay can be planned or very impromptu or both!
