The Best Of DIY Painted And Embroidered Lampshades
Lampshades are the perfect place to sharpen your DIY skills, and a DIY painted or embroidered lampshade is the perfect place to start. I've gathered some great inspiration for you as far as the shade goes. And if you're in the market for a new lamp that could really be a great base for your crafty lampshade ventures, I think that some wooden lighting namely wooden lamps using blonde wood could look really great, especially since one of the hot decorating trends for 2016 is the Scandinavian style white and black interior with wood accents. And of course, you don't need to stop with your wood based lamp, you could…

Welcome Back To Craft Schooling Sunday!
Craft schooling Sunday is back and wishing you all an amazing 2016! I missed our crafty get together, and looking forward to reconnecting here at this weekly international linky party. Wishing you all a new year filled with creativity, and if this party can help us all spend less time on the computer and more time actually creatiing, well then I've done my job. Thanks so much to all those who take a few minutes to contribute their crafts and creativity here. And now……lets get the party rolling! Just one more thing, please no food link ups that contain bacon, pork products or shellfish, or mixes milk and meat, trying…

Soda Bottle Organizers With Hand Printed Cherry Blossom Paper
Cherry blossom crafts or in our case actually Almond blossom crafts are so much fun and a perfect way to add some color to a dreary winter! With the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shevat (the New Year for the trees) coming up in another three or so weeks, now is the time to get crafting for the holiday, right? And since I can always use more little containers to hold brushes and pens and other supplies while I'm in the middle of a project, I figured that these soda bottle organizers would be a perfect way to enjoy the cherry blossom paper that I stamped! Not to mention that these…

Succulent Party Favor Using Miniature Plastic Trophies
I love the look of antique silver trophies filled with fresh cut flowers from the garden, though no such trophies have appeared in my life, so for the time being I am having fun making little succulent party favors or succulent place holders using small plastic trophies and succulent cuttings from my container garden. It really is sweet isn't it? And of course you can add a nice little tag if you like, or even make up some small labels to commemorate the event. And even if you aren't having a party, so a bunch of these small trophies filled with succulent cuttings or already rooted tiny plants looks great…

Crocheted Chunky Doily Throw Using My Doily Rug Pattern!
Araelia from Sydney, Australia sent me these photos of the crocheted doily throw she made using my giant crocheted doily rug pattern! Isn't it great? Truthfully, I made a baby blanket from this pattern as well, just never got around to photographing it, and the "rug" that I originally made actually works best as a giant doily on my dining room table. So even if you don't have any need for a crocheted rug, this pattern can be used to make giant doilies to use in so many ways! Araelia is not the only reader to share her version of my rug, so do take a look at the links…

DIY Super Simple Cupcake Stand
When you find plastic bowls and plates in retro modern colors at IKEA that are totally cheap and can be used to make the most adorable little cupcake stands, well who can resist? Certainly not me! And the only reason that these bowls and plates remained way up high in my kitchen cabinet for a few months was that I just didn't have the right little dessert that would work with them. (My daughter made these mini cupcakes in her new multi use cupcake cakepop waffle iron that is working really well.) Of course these DIY cupcake stands would look great as catchalls on a desk or sideboard too, if…
