Make Fun Beach Toys From Recycled Bottles
With Passover just a few days away, we are frantically cleaning our house from top to bottom, which means lots of cleaning products, which means lots of cleaning product bottles that I can't help but eye for some fun recycling craft! I figured out a great use for the bottom portion of the floor soap bottles that we are going through like crazy, (more on that later) and as I was cutting off the tops, I realized that they would make perfect beach toys for all ages. Perfect for scooping sand and water, and one can unscrew the top to let the sand out of the other end, so much…

Milk Carton Frogs Passover Seder Craft
With Passover less than three weeks away, it is certainly time to get crafting, if you can squeeze it in of course. Then again, maybe keeping the kids busy with some fun crafts for Passover may be the best idea right about now while you spend time getting the house and most importantly, the kitchen, in gear? These milk carton frogs couldn't be cuter and also make great party favor boxes or flower boxes any time! Of course, they are perfect to use in a variety of ways for the Passover seder, as the frogs represent the second plague discussed in the seder. And red frogs? Well that could…

The Best Way To Make Yarn From Sheets, Hands Down!
Passover is just around the corner, which means we have started going through closets and organizing our possessions, for starters! Of course, this includes a good look at the linens and choosing things which have seen better days and are ready to be made into rag yarn. I have had more time letely to make yarn from sheets and linens than actaully crochet with them, but just knowing those balls of rags are ready and waiting is a great feeling, whenever their time may be! After years of making yarn from sheets, pillow cases, comforter covers and of course t-shirts, I have finally realized the simplest and best way to…

Piece Of Cake Pinata Style Gift Box
Okay my friends, when it comes to creating a knock your socks off kind of gift box, this one really is a piece of cake! Pinata style party decorations using crepe paper are all the rage, and so this idea, namely an upcycled box covered pinata style in crepe paper strips to resemble a piece of cake, is right on target. And best of all, if your box is on the small side like mine, it really doesn't take a huge chunk of time, phew! So next time a nice little box comes your way, save and turn it into the funnest gift box or party favor box ever! I…

Packing Peanuts And Cardboard Stars Craft
When I received a box filled with packing peanuts I immediately started thinking about how I'd use them for a craft project, and the first thing that came to mind was packing peanut stars. Of course, I actually thought I'd make the entire star out of packing peanuts, but with no real plan in mind, these fun stars are what actually came to be! The stars are quite large (the cardboard circle in the middle is from a family sized frozen pizza package) and fortunately turned out to be pefect decorations for the stage of our community Purim party this week. My only regret is that I only had time…

Milk Carton Flower Pot Craft
Crafting with recycled milk cartons is so much fun, so after we made a bunny and bear milk carton characters desk organizer, we just couldn't stop, and thus the cutest little milk carton frog was born, to join the others. Milk carton frogs could be great for Purim, for Passover, and of course for birthday parties of all kinds. A princess birthday party with milk carton frog party favors would be so adorable, and of course you could add a little crown somewhere, maybe attached to the back panel, you'll have to see what works. I love the idea of using these milk carton characters to make flower pots, either…
