Hello Prague: View From The Old Town Hall Tower
Our trip to Prague a full year ago is still fresh in our minds and hearts, as truthfully Prague is amazing. And while it seems that Prague hasn’t been really discovered by all those west of the Czech republic, it has been discovered by many, and is not a destination to consider during the summer when I’ve read it is packed to the gills. Our trip was in October, and there were still quite a few tourists, but it was totally bearable and I was cringing to think of this amazing place even more crowded that it was during the Fall. As you can see from my photos in…

Hello Prague: The Certovka Canal
The Certovka Canal or Certovka Channel, take your pick, is just one little picturesque spot in the big picturesque picture of the city of Prague, in the Czech Republic. Prague took by breath away with practically every step, and given that I happen to be a little hard to please when it comes to visual stimulation, well that says a lot. Prague may not be for everyone, but I can’t stop raving about it, even a year after our trip! This sweet little canal is something I would love to explore more when I hopefully make it back to Prague, and at that point I would like to take a…

Hello Prague: The Historic Charles Bridge
Almost exactly one year ago my daughter, my daughter in law, and I had the great pleasure of a 9 days in Prague girl’s get together, which was an incredible experience, not to mention a very photogenic one! I really didn’t know all that much about Prague before our trip, and did most of my learning once there via the amazing brochures and booklets available at the tourist information office. I’m embarrassed to say that before planning our trip I had never even heard of the Charles Bridge, nor much about Prague except that it is the burial place of the Maharal of Prague, a famous Jewish figure. Boy was…

Hello Prague: The Gorgeous Bridges Of Prague
At long last I have found the time to share with you photos of our trip to Prague, which happened LAST Rosh HaShana, for a glorious 9 days! Yes, indeed a whole year ago and I’m just now going over the photos……life is busy and editing photos can happen anytime (unlike somethings that need attention immediately), so just glad that is it finally happening! And I’m thinking that a bit of arm chair travel would be great for everyone right about now, so I’ll be dedicating many posts to sharing photos of our trip. Truthfully looking at the photos now is so inspiring and I can’t believe we actually visited…

On The Banks Of The Dalalven River In Albo, Sweden
Ah yes, a quiet afternoon on the banks of the Dalalven River in Sweden sure sounds amazing right about now! With most folks housebound due to Corona quarantines, armchair traveling and making really detailed plans for future travels is a great activity, something one might not have the time for in the future! If you love nature, and travel on a budget, include a few weeks in July or August in Sweden into your plans, it is truly amazing and there are summer cottages everywhere for rent for very reasonable prices, especially if you don’t need a toilet with plumbing! I hope to have the opportunity to go back, and…

Farming On The Dalalven River, Sweden
Right now is a great time for armchair traveling, so I'm resuming the posts about my travels last year, with many many more photos to share, so stay tuned! But first, lets finish our totally amazing two and 1/2 week Swedish adventure in the summer of 2019, for which I am so very grateful! You can find all the previous posts from our trip here. Yes, it is true Sweden, is brimming with lovely red and white houses and farm buildings, and they seem to dot the countryside just about everywhere. (Well at least the regions we visited.) And unlike in the United States where you'll see one farm house…
