Cut Paper Heart For Quick Party Decor
Today I took scissors to paper to experiment with a few ideas for some paper decorations, and i came up with this simple way to make a really stylish paper heart in just a few minutes. I'm hoping to make a bunch of these to decorate the walls in one of my kid's bedrooms that is going to be a guest bedroom this weekend, and I'll certainly share it with you, if the results are noteworthy that is! So grab some colorful paper, or even some recycled magazine pages and lets get cutting!

Paper Boats Make Perfect Birthday Party Decorations!
A few evenening ago I was reading a Curious George story to a little family member, and when we came upon the part where he folds up the newspapers into boats, well we just had to make some paper boats of our own. As it turns out this simple origami paper boat activity kept this very active three and a half year old glued to the chair, and he kept asking me to make more and more. He helped a bit by running his little finger along the edges to crease the paper, but was otherwise just plain thrilled to observe the process. Fortunately I was able to sneek in…

Accordian Folded Paper Medallions
Accordian folded paper medallions are so simple to make, look great, and may just be the answer to your Succah crafting dilemma right about now? I made around fifty of these medallions in a few sizes and colors and they sure came in handy at my son's bar mitzvah, not to mention that I'm about to decorate our succah with them as well, phew! You can make your medallions as simple as can be, as shown here, or glue a circle or flower shape to the center if you desire, there are no rules and so many possibilities! I'm planning to actually sew these to some of the curtain wall…

I've compiled my favorite Rosh HaShana card crafts from the past to give you a head start, so lets…

A DIY Paper Plant That Is Simply Lovely: Agave!
Paper plants are all the rage, and understandably so as they are so simple to make and look amazing. Not to mention great for those who don't have time to take care of the real thing! i happen to have a virtual jungle both indoors and out, but I still appreciate the paper plant idea for its whimsy. There are a lot of folk out there making paper cactuses, but I think I'm the first to make a paper agave. Though many (mostly Australians, where agaves grow in droves) have success growing them in water indoors, the agave is really an outdoor plant, so a paper one certainly is a…

Paper Giraffes Birthday Photo Wall
As one of the elements in the giraffe themed birthday party I threw for my son last week, the giraffe paper dolls photo wall was so simple to make and with great results. If I had known that I was going to tape those giraffes to the wall I would have made more, but fortunately there were just enough to pull off my little last minute idea! While of course the giraffes, and one little elephant worked for our party, traditional paper dolls or any thing that works in silhouette form would be perfect, and a quick way to add decorative touches in keeping with your theme. This craft is…
