Cardboard Fish Centerpiece For Purim, Or Just For Fun!
The cardboard fish centerpieces I made for our community Purim party were a hit, and now I get to use them to decorate our house for Purim, coming up quickly next week. I don’t think I’ll use all ten of them, then again, a school of fish swimming down my Purim table could be lots of fun, right? I’ll get out the blue tablecloths and take it from there…..maybe I’ll make some milk carton boats or use some plastic ones and do a whole ocean themed table…….I guess it all depends on how quickly the costumes go this year, and how many guests we’ll be having. At this moment I’m…

Recycled Cardboard Fish Are The Perfect Purim Craft!
I’m loving crafting with recycled cardboard boxes lately, there is something truly satisfying about creating something new from a cardboard box (hopefully) bound for the recycling pile. And to top it off, there is just something about black and white paint together with the cardboard box color that looks amazing. Enough said, introducing my recycled cardboard fish, just in time for Purim, and the Jewish month of Adar, which is the sign of the fish! You can use these fun cardboard fish in so many ways, and this can be a craft for all ages if one makes fish shapes for everyone to paint and/or decorate. Even a collage of…

Paint The Kotel In Rainbow Colors For The 17th Of Tammuz !
I have pulled this post from the archives, as it is truly a perfect one. Today is the 17th of Tammuz, a solemn fast day on the Jewish calender which marks the beginning of a three week period of mourning for the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash, (The Holy Temple/King Soloman’s Temple.) So with the boys home from school early, and my daughter just starting her summer vacation, there is no time like the present to try and get back into our crafting groove which I have missed greatly! So today I pulled out the watercolors, and grabbed a white corrugated cardboard box, and we all spent some time painting…

Rosh HaShana Apple, Pomegranite And Carrot Yarn Craft For All Ages
There is something about gluing yarn onto recycled cardboard shapes that is just so much fun, and with great results. So with Rosh Hashana just around the corner, time is of the essence, and this is one craft that is great for all ages, and teh results can then be hung in the succah as well. Okay, you may not want to hang a carrot in your succah, but apples and pomegranites certainly work for both Rosh HaShana and succot, and you can then add some grapes and olives and figs later if you so desire. You very likely don’t recognize this project, as I posted it a whole seven…
