Craft Schooling Sunday Is Taking A Passover Vacation, See You Next Week!
Thanks so much for dropping by for Craft Schooling Sunday. I made a last minute decision to simply take a Passover break with the party as that means I can literally stay unplugged all Passover long, which is truly one way to make sure I'm not a slave to my blog or the internet, right? We celebrate our deliverance from slavery every year, though we also apply the idea of slavery to our lives today giving the holiday many layers of relevance, and the all the house cleansing before Passover in turn leads to a spiritual cleansing on the holiday! So dear friends, I'll be back next week, with hopefully…

Wishing You A Wonderful Passover!
At sundown on Friday night we will not only welcome the holy shabbos, we’ll also welcome the amazing holiday of Passover! This year we will all be celebrating for eight days, as the last day of Passover in Israel is back to back with shabbat, so we will just keep eating matzo, as though it is still Passover. I’m always sad to see the holiday end after so much hard work, so I’ll happily take another day! This year we found ourselves without any guests, which is so unusual and then we were invited rather last minute to stay in a vacation apartment in the Old City of Jerusalem for…

Is Early Retirement A Feasible Dream For Parents Today?
This is a sponsored post. Is Early Retirement A Feasible Dream For Parents Today? Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. This common quote by Benjamin Franklin is used in many contexts from succeeding in your academic life to keeping your finances as a family in check and it often rings true. For many families in Israel and in fact, around the world, the juggling act of keeping their family afloat financially is a full-time act and revolves around staying up to date with bills and keeping abreast with rising costs of living including costs of raising children. Although the country is viewed as a very promising place to raise…

How To Make Simple Paper Pinwheels While Cleaning For Passover
At this point most folks have done the bulk of the necessary cleaning for Passover, (or maybe they are closing up their homes and heading to family or on vacation) and if not they are certainly not taking time to peek at my blog, as Passover starts on Friday night and there is soooo much to do for this 7 day (8 days outside Israel) holiday. So if you are reading this, either you don’t celebrate Passover, or you are ready to do some quick crafting before the holiday, so lets do it! While of course pinwheels aren’t exactly traditional Passover symbols, why not? The spinning of the pinwheel represents…

Ten Plagues Passover Seder Craft
I made these ten plagues placards for my kids for our seder eight whole years ago, and since they are still looking good (in the photos that is) I thought I’d pull them out of the archives to share them with you, as truly this a craft that will make memories for the kids (and fun loving adults) at your Passover seder table! Truthfully, while I love these ten plagues placards, they are on the large size and so I did a smaller version of this craft with some of the neighborhood boys, using skewers instead of dowels, and you can take a look at that craft here. Regardless of…

Passover Paper Craft For Kids: Four Cups Of Wine Paper Dolls!
With Passover coming up on Friday night, now is the time to keep the kids busy with fun crafts to celebrate Passover, or maybe even make some yourself? This Passover paper dolls craft in which the dolls are actually the four cups of wine was done by a group of boys during a weekly crafting session, and I just love the results, even five years later! So yes, this is a craft I’ve pulled from the archives as honestly I am just way too busy to do any crafting right now! I have set aside some paper and a vintage book with guides for making animals, which I hope to…
