DIY Loom Potholder Using T-Shirt Yarn And DIY Potholder Loops
After cutting up a bunch of my boy's old striped polo style shirts to make t-shirt yarn, I just couldn't bear to toss the remnants, namely the section above the armpits, so rather than clean for Pesach I embarked on a small research project regarding using a pot holder loom to make potholders from t-shirt yarn and presented you with the post 3 Ways To Use Old T-shirts To Weave Potholders. Of the three potholders that we wove for our research project, there was one that in my eyes was just right, so I now present to you the technique that we used, and hoping that this craft will not…

Collage Using Crafting Paper Scraps
Ever felt bad about tossing all those scraps of paper left over from a big crafty project? Well I sure do, and so this time I decided to make a few quick collages with all those fun shapes and bits of shiny or glittery paper left over from making a bunch of Purim castles. One of the pieces I'll use to make some gift tags, and the other pieces I've already used as part of my pizza box top robots! So next time you've got a bunch of little bits and bobs, why not craft with them, and who knows the results might must be truly fantastic!

Recycled Pizza Box Top Robots For Purim
The Jewish holiday of Purim starts this coming Saturday night (Sunday night for those living in Jerusalem proper) so lets turn up the heat and get crafting! These cute pizza box top robot clowns are just one idea to get you inspired. For starters, take a look around the house and use what you have on hand — the very best way to really truly get creative without having to run to the store, and spend time (and money) unnecessarily! And truly, these robots came about literally on account of the above advice. Last Tuesday I was working hard making decorations for a community Purim party, and my kids were…

Quick Soda Bottle Clown For Purim Or Your Circus Themed Party!
I'm quite sure how that happened, but Purim is in another week plus a few days, and so it is surely time to get crafting for Purim, right? Okay, truthfully I have been crafting, just not stuff that I can share with you at the moment, or have yet to photograph, which is usually the case, phew! I tried to photograph something quickly before the sun went down, but since the project wasn't quite finished I think I'll share it with you in its entirety tomorrow. In the mean time I realized there may have been some projects that I did last year and hadn't shared, and yes, sure enough,…

Stand Up Tree Craft Is Perfect For Tu B’Shevat!
Isn't this standing tree just the sweetest? Thanks so much to a reader Orit, who sent this in to share what she did with her four year old, love it! They'll be using their tree as a centerpiece this shabbat when we also celebrate the wonderful holiday of Tu B'Shevat, the new year for the trees. This craft is a combination of two projects from the archives, my winter tree from recycled cardboard, and my cherry blossom tree craft. My kids are now hovering around early teens, so they are busy with school work, piano lessons and for some even more learning after school…….so after a long day they are…

Chalkboard Succulent Pots From Upcycled Items
All you need is a little bottle of chalk board paint to make all kinds of fun things, and especially fun things from stuff you might otherwise toss! Presenting my recycled chalkboard succulent pot, made from the cup of a plastic thermos (that broke the first day my son took it to school…..husbands might be well meaning but not always aware of how quickly kids can break certain items!) I knew that cup would come in handy at some point, and just love it painted black, and as a little place to doodle with chalk, so much fun! As you may have seen, I first made chalkboard apples which are…
